To retrieve your online banking login details, you will need the BW pushTAN-App. If your BW pushTAN-App is not working or hasn’t yet been set up, these instructions explain how to request a new registration letter.
Tip: Get the latest version of the app from the App Store/Play Store, to make sure it is up to date.
For verifying your identity with your personal details:
BW-BankCard plus (debit card) – card number
At some stage during this process, you will be asked to enter your BW-BankCard plus (debit card) number. This number can be found on the rear of your card.
For verifying your identity with the online ID checker (eID):
Documents and devices for eID
If you do not have a BW-BankCard plus (debit card), you can also restore your login details with the online ID checker eID. To use this option to verify your identity, you will need the following:
- An identity document with an eID chip
- A PIN for your ID document
- A NFC-capable end device, e.g. smartphone or NFC card reader
- Installed and (on desktop applications) open ID app (AusweisApp)
Important: This this option cannot be used in the App BW-Bank.
For forgotten online banking PIN:
Username or login ID for online banking
If you have forgotten your online banking PIN, you can use your username or login ID to restore access to online banking. You can find your login ID in the letter with your initial login details (username and the initial PIN for online banking).
For verifying ID with BW-BankCard plus (debit card) at ATM:
BW-BankCard plus (debit card) and PIN
If you know your username you can request a new initial PIN for online banking and unlock access to online banking at virtually every (participating) BW-Bank ATM. To do so, simply verify your identify with your BW-BankCard plus (debit card) and card PIN at the ATM.
